Holland & Crosby Acquires Colormark and Will Operate Out of New 70,000-Square-Foot Facility
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario—January 11, 2016—Holland & Crosby Ltd. recently acquired the assets of screen printing company Colormark Ltd., located in the Mississauga/greater Toronto area. The transaction was completed on Jan. 1, 2016, and production began on Jan. 4.
An award-winning, family-run business of more than 40 years, Colormark felt the time was right to transition and reached out to firms in the area about becoming part of a larger company either through merger or acquisition.

Colormark Becomes Part of Holland & Crosby's New Strategy for Growth
Both companies will be co-located at a new site that will house a serious investment in new equipment close to both original facilities. The new building is 70,000 sq. ft., with ideal functionality for printing and plant workflows. Crosby remarked, "We're really excited to get into our new space and produce projects even more efficiently." The company's new technology purchases include two Inca onset presses from Fujifilm: the X1 with a special orange ink configuration, and the X3 press with three banks of CMYK and a 5x10' vacuum bed and output of over 9,000 sq. ft./hr. It is the first press of its kind to be installed in North America, and only the second worldwide.
Holland & Crosby has also made significant changes to its cutting solutions, replacing existing cutting tables with two new Kongsberg C Series 10x10 tables from Esko that are expected run 2.5 times faster. With these investments, the company predicts as much as 50 percent improvement in throughput. It plans to transition Colormark’s existing work to this powerful new equipment offering in their new consolidated facility starting Jan. 4, 2016. H&C is looking forward to hosting an open house in May to demo the new equipment and highlight the updated facility.
