Coca-Cola Creates Cool Ad Made Entirely from Recyclable Packaging

Coca-Cola Great Britain has launched its first-ever ad made out of 100% recyclable packaging. Love Story, created by Ogilvy and Mather Berlin, tells the story of two plastic bottles (Fanta and Coke Zero, respectively) who fall in love as they meet over and over again, thanks to recycling.
Through the ad, Coke hopes to communicate a message that resonates. If more people recycle, their plastic bottles can be reused to produce more plastic bottles and reduce the space taken up in landfills.
To drive this point home, the ad features a set entirely made out of recyclable material. Spoiler alert: It’s Coca-Cola packaging.
In fact, Cris Wiegandt and Lacy Barry, the Berlin-based duo who created the ad, used more than 1,500 Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Smartwater and Honest Tea bottles and cans during production, according to a press release.
“The beauty of 'Love Story' is that it reminds people our packaging is valuable, as it can be recycled into more packaging over and over again,” Aedamar Howlett, marketing director for Coca-Cola Great Britain, said in a statement. “All of our packaging is 100-percent recyclable and has been for some time now. The campaign shows how serious we are about encouraging more people to recycle, so we that we reach our aim of getting all of our bottles back.”
