Cenveo Permanently Closing Minneapolis Commercial Printing Facility by March, Eliminating 112 Jobs
MINNEAPOLIS—November 10, 2014—Cenveo Corp. will permanently close its commercial printing facility at 121 12th Ave. S. here by the end of March, reported the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
According to the Business Journal, the news comes along with a mass layoff warning sent to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. The layoffs could begin as early as Dec. 31.
"Some administrative and other office positions will remain operational, but will relocate to a new site," said Michelle Anders, regional director of human resources at Stamford, CT-based Cenveo. "The operations departments of the facility, including prepress, press, finishing, warehousing, assembly, fulfillment and mailing will be relocated to other Cenveo locations."
The newspaper said that Cenveo Officials did not respond to requests for more information.
