Canon U.S.A. Launches New Production Customer Experience Center
Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, launched its new Production Customer Experience Center (CEC) at its Melville, N.Y. headquarters. This state-of-the-art facility is part of Canon’s ongoing commitment to the ever-growing production print space, supporting key market segments including commercial printing, direct mail, book printing, and more. The new CEC is designed to meet the expanding needs of customers and channel partners by offering educational seminars, training events, live product demonstrations, and virtual sessions on a broad range of production print products and solutions.
Spanning over 3,000 square feet, the CEC provides a dynamic environment to showcase Canon’s portfolio of outstanding hardware and software print production solutions. The facility features the full line-up of Canon imagePRESS V family of digital presses, including the imagePRESS V900, imagePRESS V1000, imagePRESS V1350, as well as its vast portfolio of Canon and third-party accessories.
The varioPRINT 6330 TITAN monochrome digital press is also on display, showcasing its productivity. A dedicated workflow demonstration area illustrates Canon’s prepress, color management, and fleet management solutions with PRISMA, Fiery, and other third-party products.
Next up for the CEC will be the highly anticipated varioPRINT iX1700; the next generation of sheetfed inkjet press print technology.
The CEC’s design also includes interactive spaces with stunning visual displays, such as graphics printed on the Colorado large-format printers. A sample display area highlights Canon’s image quality, media versatility, and finishing capabilities.
Visitors can experience how Canon’s broad range of third-party finishing accessories, including Plockmatic and SDD booklet makers, as well as critical nearline finishing equipment from Duplo and Skandacor, complement Canon’s production presses.
Virtual engagement is made seamless with the integration of eight Canon cameras—six built-in PTZ cameras and two portable Canon broadcast cameras—ensuring that online visitors can receive a unique and high-quality experience.
In addition to its high-tech showroom and demonstration areas, the CEC includes a private conference room for one-on-one customer meetings and virtual engagements, providing a space for discussing expectations and presenting customized solutions.

The CEC complements Canon’s existing 127,000-square-foot Customer Innovation Center (CIC) in Boca Raton, FL, and the large-format Customer Experience Center in Itasca, IL. These centers showcase Canon’s comprehensive portfolio and provide training, demos, and resources to help customers meet the evolving demands of the industry.
Additionally, the Production CEC bolsters the offerings of the Melville headquarters, which is also the home of the state-of-the-art Canon Americas Showroom. The resources at this facility were recently put on display when Canon hosted and sponsored a book launch celebration to recognize 17 students from Candlewood Middle School in the Half Hollow Hills School District in Dix Hills, New York. The students wrote and illustrated a book about their experiences working with the New York Marine Rescue Center (NYMRC) to rescue and rehabilitate injured sea turtles. As part of the event, these select students enjoyed the opportunity to tour the CEC and see the imagePRESS V1350 digital printer in action as it printed copies of the book they had created.
