Canadian Publishers’ Association to Offer Ingram’s Content Solution to Members
NASHVILLE, TN—July 12, 2011—Ingram Content Group announced an agreement with the Association of Canadian Publishers (ACP), an industry organization representing a substantial and diverse group of Canadian-owned and controlled book publishers from across the country. ACP has selected Ingram’s CoreSource digital asset management platform to distribute and archive content for its members globally.
The selection process was managed by eBOUND Canada, the newly created digital division of the ACP.
“After a thorough evaluation we found that Ingram’s digital asset management platform CoreSource will allow our publishers to easily and economically deliver their content in digital formats to any destination,” said Robert Hayashi, president and CEO, eBOUND Canada. eBOUND will continue as stewards of the service for ACP members including management, administration, oversight and support.
“The ability to collectively ease our publishers’ transitions to digital markets and help them reach more readers with more content will be an important component in growing the sales of our members,” said Carolyn Wood, Executive Director, Association of Canadian Publishers.
Over its 30-year history, the ACP has been instrumental in helping its publishers create a national literature that introduces Canadians to each other and the world. The association assists Canadian-owned publishers in promoting the excellence of their books, in bringing more books to more readers in their country, and in expanding publishers' domestic and international market share. ACP’s membership includes more than 125 Canadian publishers from a variety of genres.
“The Association of Canadian Publishers recognizes that a combination of Ingram’s digital asset management platform and our substantial retail relationships around the world can grow sales for their member publishers,” said Marcus Woodburn, vice president of Digital Products, Ingram Content Group. “At Ingram, we offer market-leading content distribution solutions that allow publishers to focus on the core of their business, content creation, rather than delivery and IT infrastructure.”
Ingram’s CoreSource is an easy to use, online solution for the storage, management, and distribution of digital content. CoreSource delivers a secure, searchable content repository and a high-capacity data distribution network, allowing publishers to move digital content easily and swiftly from their organization to any channel partner globally.
