
LITTLE ROCK, Ark.—Frank H. "Bert" Parke, chairman of the board of Democrat Printing & Litho, passed away Aug. 12 at the age of 85.
Mr. Parke graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1952 and served a two-year stint in the Air Force before returning to Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1954 to join the family business at Democrat Printing & Litho. He held positions including executive vice president, corporate secretary and president prior to becoming chairman, a position he held until his death.
Active with the Printing Industries of America and PIA of the South, Mr. Parke was named "Man of the Year" by the latter association. He was inducted into the Ash Khan Society in 1998. Democrat Printing & Litho specializes in short-to-medium run catalogs and magazines.
Mr. Parke is survived by his wife, Ann; three children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
