AVT to Launch Web Inspection Technology at drupa
HOD-HASHARON, ISRAEL—March 5, 2012—Advanced Vision Technology (AVT) will be launching an exciting range of new products at drupa 2012, using the latest web inspection technology to focus on improving print quality. Most printing markets will be covered: label, packaging, metal decorating and commercial.
Spearheading the new technology is AVT’s on-press, in-line spectral measurement—SpectraLab. SpectraLab automatically measures colors by sampling user-defined points on the print image and provides ISO compliant online L*a*b* color values that match those made off-line.
Packaging
AVT will be demonstrating the all-new PrintVision/Argus Elite. The new solution includes upgraded viewing capabilities, a brand new man-machine-interface, and pressure setting from the image. The new PrintVision/Argus Elite will be demonstrated in the AVT booth and on the new F2 Comexi press on the Comexi stand.
The PrintVision/Jupiter system will demonstrate RightSeal, the improved dual optic head operation for cold seal monitoring, as well as iReg, a semi-automatic registration setting for CI Flexo presses. In addition, the system will be equipped with SpectraLab for measuring on-line absolute L*a*b* colorimetric values.
The PrintVision/Apollo system will demonstrate its all new and easy to use operation, IDEal - Delta Color Measurements, PDF job verification, regions of interest and connection to the customer ERP system.
Commercial print
AVT will exhibit its newly re-engineered family of ink and color controls for web press applications. CQ/Clarios offers proven spectral measurement technology for virtually any commercial web press. It is now fitted with automated ‘wizards’ and simplified touch-screen controls that allow a web press operator to achieve industry-standard print conditions, with little or no manual intervention. AVT’s MC/Mercury is designed to allow letterpress and offset machines to enjoy the benefit of a fully digital system for automated ink control.
The new PrintVision/Neptune technology redefines image quality control on commercial web presses. Inspecting 100% of both sides of the running web at all times, PV/Neptune assures that any objectionable flaws in the print image can be detected and corrected before they are sent to the finishing department – and long before they are delivered to a customer. When paired with CQ/Clarios, these two advanced in-line systems set a new standard for both productivity and quality in commercial web pressrooms.
