Things Get Bigger in Texas After Install

MESQUITE, TX— IntegraColor Inc. has purchased a five-color, 81˝ KBA Rapida 205 sheetfed press, making IntegraColor the first printer in the Southwest with 81˝ litho capabilities. The press has been configured with a special board-handling package and is also to be equipped with UV facilities for printing on plastics. It also incorporates an ICS slitter system and non-stop pile changing for the feeder and delivery. KBA has added its own Densitronic quality control system, and inline perforating and slitting to the press. An automatic camera register control system provides an extremely efficient system for fast color registration on a press of this size.
CALIFORNIA

REDWOOD CITY—Pacific Printing and Fulfillment Inc. has installed a five-color Komori Lithrone 28 (NL528) with coater. This is the third Komori press for the general commercial printer, having purchased its first six-color Komori in 1997.

SAN LUIS OBISPO—The year 2006 marks the 60th anniversary of Cal Poly’s Graphic Communication Department, and several celebrations are in the making. A highlight will be the “Reunion of the Decades” on October 6 and 7. The event will reunite friends, colleagues, faculty and industry partners from 60 years of printing and graphic communication education at the university.

AUBURNDALE—M&M Printing & Graphics is now operating a four-color Kodak DirectPress 5634 DI press to serve the on-demand color printing market.

SARASOTA—DKS-Digital Kopy Services, a trade printer, has also added a Kodak DirectPress 5634 DI to its lineup of digital equipment. DKS offers both digital offset and toner-based printing services, along with a fully automated, on-demand bindery to keep the work flowing.

TALLAHASSEE—Harvest Printing & Copy Center recently installed a Quickmaster QM DI 46 direct imaging press from Heidelberg to satisfy growing customer demand for four-color jobs.
