2013 PODi AppForum Scheduled to Run Jan. 28-30 in Las Vegas
ROCHESTER, NY—July 10, 2012—PODi, the Digital Printing Initiative, announced that the 2013 AppForum digital printing conference will be held Jan. 28-30, 2013, at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. The AppForum presents a uniquely unbiased view of the newest, most profitable applications.
While the market for offset printing continues to decline, companies that embrace the opportunities presented by digital print are prospering. AppForum is the top destination for these thought leaders—printers, mailers, direct marketers and marketing service providers—who understand the dynamic business transformations digital print makes possible.
“Our industry is going through tremendous change,” says Caslon & PODi General Manager Dave Erlandson. “This AppForum will renew its focus on innovation and on emerging and future technologies. Smart companies always come to AppForum to find out where the industry is going and what the leaders are doing.
“Owners and executives come to get updated on the latest trends and opportunities before they set their strategy for the year. And business development and sales teams attend for cutting edge solution selling training and real world insights. The far-ranging content at AppForum is great for newcomers and veterans alike,” Erlandson adds.
Business Development Executive and AppForum attendee Aaron Jones from LithExcel says, “The landscape of what we do is ever-changing and it is necessary to stay up-to-date with the latest information. I haven’t seen a better way to stay informed and get the pulse of the industry than at AppForum.”
AppForum concentrates on a rich program featuring presentations by peers and practitioners who are succeeding with relevant direct marketing strategies, integrated cross-media, collateral management services, cloud technology, digital packaging and variable data printing.
“Every time I attend, I always get new ideas as to how to do something better or a new revenue strategy. I would be doing my business a disservice if I missed one,” says Randy Herron, president of Herron Printing and Graphics.
The casual, low-key atmosphere of AppForum encourages participation and open dialogue among attendees and speakers.
“The event felt like a free and open exchange of ideas to help each other be more successful,” says 2012 AppForum attendee Jim Raffel, CEO of ColorMetrix. “Where else in a short period of time can you get exposed to so many inspiring people?” adds DigitalPress Founder, Theo Pettaras. “Where else can you freely and openly share ideas with like-minded peers?”
“We’re excited about having AppForum at Planet Hollywood this year,” says Erlandson. “It promises to be a fun venue, right on the Vegas strip. AppForum will be great way to start the year and get a jump on the newest big ideas for money-making digital print applications. ”
AppForum attendees enjoy one full day of Pre-Conference Intensives, along with two days of vendor-neutral learning sessions, lively panel discussions, keynotes from industry thought leaders, a uniquely open atmosphere, and the most productive networking they’ll do all year.
Sponsorship opportunities are now available. Attendees have the chance to meet representatives from sponsoring companies for quiet one-on-ones at their display tables and at several networking events. Vendors can take advantage of enhanced marketing coverage by participating at the Gold, Silver or Bronze sponsorship levels. Get more information at www.appforum.org/Sponsors/Sponsors-Info.html.
