2010 InterTech Technology Award Recipients Announced
PITTSBURGH—July 28, 2010—Printing Industries of America has announced the recipients of the 2010 InterTech Technology Awards. The technologies receiving this prestigious award have been judged as truly innovative and expected to have a major impact on the graphic communications industry.
The independent panel of judges deliberated over technology nominations ranging from software solutions to press consumables and printing systems. Great strides in technology were demonstrated in inkjet, web-to-print, plate processing, and flexographic and offset print quality.
Six innovative technologies were selected to receive the award.
The 2010 InterTech Technology Award recipients are (isted alphabetically by company, with the technology named first):
ZAC Automated Controller Technology Module — Fujifilm North America, Graphic Systems Division
Hiflex Webshop — Hiflex
Kodak Digicap NX Screening — Eastman Kodak
Kodak Prosper S10 Imprinting System — Eastman Kodak
Prinect Inspection Control — Heidelberg USA
Super Blue 3 — Printing Research, Inc.
The InterTech stars, recognized as a symbol of technological innovation and excellence, will be presented before an audience of industry leaders during the 2010 Printing Industries of America Premier Print Awards and InterTech Technology Awards Gala, October 3 in Chicago, Illinois.
Detailed award recipient information will follow in a press release slated for distribution the week of August 2, 2010. A technology review booklet showcasing all twenty of the current year’s entries will be produced and distributed this fall at Graph Expo and in an issue of Printing Industries of America--The Magazine; the booklet will also be available at www.printing.org/InterTech.
