New Plant Draws Large Crowd ALEXANDRIA, VA— DigiLink welcomed about 325 guests to an open house in celebration of its new, 39,000-square-foot facility. The new building allowed DigiLink to consolidate its printing and bindery operations under one roof. According to Michael Wight, president and CEO of DigiLink, the facility has enabled the printer to enjoy 15 percent growth since it moved there in early March. Wight says the company is in the process of selecting a new six-color press. RIS, Parsons, Mohawk, IKON, EFI, Pitman, Komori and KBA were among the vendors on hand. Ford Printing Opts For New DI Press CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA—Ford Printing & Mailing has installed a Presstek 52DI digital offset press to bolster its ability to efficiently produce quality color printing in runs from 250 to 20,000 impressions. DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY—June 4th, 2008—The International Cooperation for the Integration of the Processes in Prepress, Press and Postpress (CIP4) Organization today announced the winners of the 2008 Jürgen Schönhut Memorial CIP4 International Print Production Innovation (CIPPI) Awards. The CIPPI awards are given annually to the applicant printer, publisher or prepress service with the most compelling case study in three topical categories and four regions. The winners are: • Metzgerdruck GmbH, Obrigheim, Germany — First Place, Best cost/benefit realization and improvement in efficiency as a result of process automation implementation • Cox Target Media, Inc., Largo, Florida, USA — Second Place, Best cost/benefit realization and

Leadership Award Bestowed at Show MIAMI BEACH—Warren Wilkins, president of Webcom Limited, was named Graphic Arts Leader of the Americas, North America for 2005 by the Printing Association of Florida (PAF) during Graphics of the Americas. Associates Graphic Services (AGS), Wilmington, DE, a provider of digital and traditional printing, has announced the acquisition of DocuSource, a producer of digital printing and variable data personalization. Cary Printing, Cary, NC, has hired Brant Chesner to fill the new position of operations manager. He formerly worked at Quebecor World Kingsport. Also, Sidney Copeland is the new vice president of digital printing. Copeland is the former co-owner of digital printing facility
