Unisource Awards Challenge Grant to The Print Council

The Unisource Worldwide Matching Challenge Grant has resulted in $100,000 of new financial support from the industry, along with adding 15 new supporters to the council ranks. “This additional support will fund new initiatives as well as support the ongoing programs of The Print Council, such as the Print in the Mix clearinghouse of print market research and the successful Print Delivers seminars.”

Quebecor World ushered in the opening of its new co-mailing facility in Somerset, NJ, with the addition of two new 30-pocket machines. The new capacity allows more publishers and catalogers to take advantage of the benefits of co-mailing. Quebecor chose the Somerset mail consolidation site due to its strategic proximity to the densely populated Northeast.

SACRAMENTO, CA—Dome Printing, a 40-year-old fixture in Northern California, has opened Dome Direct, a 40,000-square-foot digital printing, direct mail and fulfillment center. The new plant complements the company's existing capabilities and brings its overall operating space to 135,000 square feet. Dome began offering mailing to its customers in 2005. It also provides sheetfed, web and digital printing, as well as in-line finishing.
