Sun Chemical will raise prices on July 1, 2011, by 10 percent for all heatset inks; 10 percent on all Sun Chemical Rycoline blanket and roller solvent-based washes, specialty solvents and isopropyl alcohol; a minimum of 8 percent for water-based corrugated packaging liquid inks; and a minimum of 15 percent for all other water-based and all solvent-based packaging liquid inks.

ROCHESTER, NY—Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group will increase the worldwide prices of its digital and conventional plates as of May 1. The company cited the “sustained, universal rise” in costs for key raw materials and utilities used in the production of offset plates in announcing the new rates.
