Project Blackbird: Top Secret Branding Package (Includes Video)

This week, calls attention to a “top secret” branding package created by Project Blackbird, a motion graphics and direction company. From the unique custom-made security envelope to the inventive invoices, the components employ a wide variety of finishing tools—with letterpress printing, offset printing, gold-foil stamping and hand assembly.

Designers Matt Wegerer, Dan Paige and Wes Heaton even blinded most of the back of the memo pad component so that the actual message is only truly readable when rubbed with lead or charcoal.

The project was printed by Vahalla Studios in Overland Park, KS; and Soli Printing in Kansas City, MO. The paper used was Crane’s Lettra and Domtar Cougar papers.
