BAUM Gives Tabletop Folders a Turbo Boost

Baum Turbo Wheel

BAUM has greatly improved the feeding systems on its manual and automated tabletop folding machines. This exciting redesign involves a new “Turbo” suction wheel that provides superior feeding capabilities for both the Ultrafold 714XLT Air Feed and Flexifold automated tabletop models.

The new Turbo Wheel technology results in being able to feed a higher lift of paper at a reduced vacuum requirement from the pump, saving energy and allowing the operator to load the table fuller for increased productivity.

Looking at the photo of a loaded 714XLT demo from the On-Demand Expo, the paper is loaded way above the specified 2˝ high side guides, and there’s even some curl in the sheet! The machines can handle coated stocks as well as high-speed copier and laser printed stocks as small as 3×5˝ up to 14×20˝, and multiple air adjustment capabilities allow for feeding consistency across varying applications.

Here are some links to download product information on the Ultrafold 714XLT Air Feed and the Flexifold tabletop models.
