The 2009 Océ Future Authors Project, a partnership between the School District of Palm Beach County and Océ North America, concluded its annual eight-day writing workshop with 49 middle and high school students participating at Boca Raton High School and Glades Central High School.

Océ, an international leader in digital document management and delivery, announced that it is one of the sponsors of the third Individuated News Conference (INC3) as part of the company's continued support of the evolving newspaper publishing model. Océ is the market leader in short-run digital newspaper printing, with 98 percent of the world's contracted newspapers running on Océ presses. The global conference runs June 24-26, 2009 and will be hosted at The Washington Times facility in Washington, D.C. Other INC3 sponsors include Newspapers & Technology magazine and Accrisoft Software.

The School District of Palm Beach County and Océ North America announced today the selection of nearly 60 middle and high school students to participate in the 2009 Océ Future Authors Project. About 15 of the students will be participating from Glades Central High School through distance learning technology. Seven graduates of the program will be returning as mentors.

Despite bleak worldwide economic news that had dominated the media in the preceding weeks, GRAPH EXPO® 2008 exceeded expectations and enjoyed brisk business. While overall attendance was down 12.5 percent over the record-setting GRAPH EXPO 2007 show, interested qualified buyers from 8,800 individual companies—marking a slight increase in the number of unique companies over last year's show.
