Jim Andersen
Andersen brings over 40 years of experience in the direct marketing industry, including leadership positions at Banta Corp., and his most recent role as CEO at IWCO Direct, where he led the company to unprecedented growth for over 20 years.
More than 65 printing executives from around the country, as well as several trade press members, analysts and Canon Solutions America employees, took part in the "Future of Inkjet" event held at IWCO Direct's facility in Chanhassen, Minnesota, June 23-24. The main attraction was the ability to see the first U.S. customer installations of the Canon Océ VarioPrint i300 cut-sheet and ImageStream 3500 continuous-feed inkjet presses running side-by-side.
Demonstrating its commitment to creating value for direct mail customers in the area of postage optimization and distribution, the company has added three Siemens Paramount delivery barcode sorters at its Hamburg, PA, facility. This installation is the next phase in creating a common production platform across IWCO Direct’s national footprint to allow customers to leverage IWCO Direct’s volume and industry-leading postal strategy to maximize postage savings.
The F.L. Smithe SW and an F.L. Smithe SR converters will support the conversion of approximately 60 million envelopes per month at the Hamburg, PA facility. This installation continues the integration of the U.S. operations of Transcontinental Direct into IWCO Direct's production processes.
The annual award is presented to a printing industry executive who has reached an unsurpassed level of excellence and achievement.
