Network members can request copies of the Harlequin RIP for use in their test labs, together with extensive documentation, and will receive alerts about upcoming releases and enhancements so that they can accelerate development of their own products.

TKS Chooses ‘Digital’ Harlequin RIP to Drive Inkjet Newspaper Press

The latest version of the “digital” Harlequin RIP, has been chosen by Tokyo Kikai Seisakusho (TKS) of Japan to drive a new inkjet newspaper press that will be launched in the second half of 2012. The web fed Jetleader 1500 will be used for high-speed, full-color digital newspaper production, printing 600 x 600 dpi duplex at 150 meters per minute.

A major new version of the Harlequin RIP is released today by Global Graphics Software, with even faster performance than its predecessors and a new range of productivity features for print shops. Version 9.0 of the Harlequin Server RIP introduces FOGRA certification (FograCert CPS), full support for the new PANTONE Plus library, accelerated live transparency processing and PDF/VT support.
