Memphis (TN) Companies Find Merger Mutually Beneficial

Toof Commercial Printing has acquired American Digital. Stilly McFadden, president of Toof, said the merger will help the company meet the “double barrel” needs of customers as printing on demand services continue to grow.

“Neither of us did what the other did and we had a customer list that needed both of us,” McFadden said.

MEMPHIS, TN—Toof Commercial Printing, a firm that traces its roots back to the Civil War era, has consummated a deal for American Digital, The Commercial Appeal reported. Terms of the deal were not revealed.

Memphis-based Toof Commercial Printing, which traces its origin back to the Civil War era, has completed a deal to acquire American Digital, company leaders announced Wednesday. Toof currently employs nearly 100 workers and that number likely will grow beyond the expansion, said Rick Smith, the company's chief operating officer.

American Digital will retain its individual brand as a division of Toof and its 17 employees will transfer to Toof's headquarters in a move that should be completed by spring.

The deal will allow the company to increase its offerings in areas such as digital and offset printing, direct mail, wide-format printing
