MONTREAL—Transcontinental Inc. announced that it will be closing its Transcontinental Concord printing plant in Concord, Ontario, and its Transcontinental Edmonton printing plant in Edmonton at the end of December.

TC Transcontinental Printing has signed a multi-year agreement with Postmedia Network to print The Gazette, which is published Monday to Saturday, primarily for the Montreal market. In other news, the company has completed the transaction for the acquisition of the assets of Capri Packaging, a producer of flexible packaging, operating two facilities located in Clinton, MO.

MONTREAL—TC Transcontinental Printing, a division of TC Transcontinental, announced that it is selling the assets of Rastar, based in Utah, a subsidiary which specializes in personalized print products. Rastar will be acquired by Digibell Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Salt Lake City-based Sun Litho. New Direction Partners represented TC Transcontinental in the transaction.
