South Jersey

BELLMAWR, NJ—Evergreen Printing has captured the contract to print the North American edition of The Guardian Weekly, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported. The venerable London publication is owned by Guardian Media Group. Terms of the deal were not revealed.

If you check out the story on our home page, South Jersey printer Hamilton Press saw more than 3,300 envelopes from a $15K print, $6K postage job destroyed and returned three weeks after it was “mailed,” accompanied by the following items: a withered orange, a bottle of joint ointment, a wall rack for videotapes, books, trash and unrelated mail.

It's early December, as I write this, and the first major snowstorm rocks the City of Brotherly Love. The storm takes a rare path of traveling due north up the eastern seaboard. For those of us living in southern New Jersey (or South Jersey to all us separatist hawks) this is odd. Weather reports always show major storms striking north and west of Philly, meaning those of us on the eastern side of the Delaware River get to enjoy light precipitation, primarily rain. But on this morning, the storm is making its way north via Washington, DC. What a time for PRINT Outlook 03.
