PRIMIR, the Print Industries Market Information and Research Organization, recently announced the lineup for their summer meeting in North Carolina. Slated for July 20-22 at the Asheville Renaissance Hotel in Asheville, NC, the summer meeting will feature the results from two PRIMIR research studies. Findings of the research into “Global Trends in Packaging Affecting North American Converter and Supplier Markets” will be presented from State Street Consultants and Karstedt Associates.

Sean Firestone, a senior majoring in business administration with a concentration in management at High Point University, is putting his experience in print thanks to an internship at Wall Printing, a commercial print company in High Point.

MGI USA, the multi-substrate (paper and plastic) digital press and finishing solutions manufacturer, announced that they have added six new dealers to their U.S. network within recent months: The Oldham Group, Graphco, Paper Handling Solutions, Guaranteed Service & Supplies, Inc. (GSS Graphics), Print & Finishing Solutions and Ken Williams Graphic Consulting, Inc.

TORONTO—Fraser Papers has taken Valassis Communications to court, seeking payment for 1.8 million pounds of specialty paper manufactured at Fraser's Madawaska, ME, plant and shipped to a Valassis facility in North Carolina, according to the Bangor Daily News. The breach-of-contract suit seeks $933,000 for paper delivered this past spring. Fraser also seeks costs and prejudgment interest. A Valassis spokesperson could not be immediately reached for comment.
