Sandy Alexander Inc. is the first U.S. customer to purchase and install EFI’s new high-volume, 5-meter EFI VUTEk 5r LED roll-to-roll printer. The Clifton, N.J.-based integrated multi-channel communication solutions provider chose the superwide-format printer to add greater production capacity and redundancy in its growing wide-format division.

Central National Gottesman's (CNG) Lindenmeyr Munroe division will acquire Trenton, N.J.-based KFI Technology. KFI offers a wide range of equipment, products and services, and specializes in sales and distribution for wide-format equipment manufacturers. KFI also sells and services contour cutters, laminators and finishing equipment, and is a stocking dealer for wide-format supplies, from inks, printheads and media to laminates, adhesives and mounting substrates.

John Farina, of The Icarus Group, is facing theft charges for keeping $215,000 provided to broker the sale of used printing equipment. Because the value of the property was more than $75,000, the 63-year-old has been charged with "theft by failure to make required disposition of property received," a second degree crime.

PARSIPPANY, NJ—Hammer Co., a third-generation, family owned business that provided commercial printing, packaging, direct mail and fulfillment work, is going out of business. Six of its sales representatives have been hired by Sandy Alexander of Clifton, NJ.
