The printing operations of United Litho located in Ashburn, VA, will be consolidated into Dartmouth Printing’s facility in Hanover, NH. According to the Washington Business Journal, 80 jobs will be eliminated as a result. Sales and customer service staff will continue to operate in the Dulles/Ashburn, VA area.

PETERBOROUGH, NH—Graphic Dimensions of Atlanta is opening a printing plant here in a building formerly occupied by New England Business Services, according to the Concord Monitor. The new facility will bring in roughly 20 employees when it opens in August. Mike Baron, formerly of Printegra Corp., has been named the plant's general manager, according to the paper.

Goss International has appointed Jochen Meissner as its CEO. He succeeds Bob Brown, who will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors. Meissner had served as executive vice president and COO since he joined the company in 2002.

Presstek, Inc. today announced that it has filed a lawsuit in United States District Court in New Hampshire against a distributor of printing plates manufactured by Israeli company VIM Technologies, Ltd. The Complaint alleges that Prograf Digital Services, Inc. and its President Joseph Musgrave violated Presstek’s rights by selling VIM printing plates, which Presstek alleges infringe Presstek’s U.S. Patent Nos. 5,339,737 and 5,487,338. Presstek also claims that Prograf and Musgrave have violated Presstek’s federally registered DI Trademark, which Presstek has held since 1992.
