Sappi Fine Paper North America today announced the launch of its digital paper line-up including McCoy for HP Indigo, McCoy Digital and Flo Digital, with continued availability of Opus Digital, to round out the new tiered offering. Boasting exceptional performance and versatility for digital printing, each of Sappi’s digital papers are matched to their folio counterpart and are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI) Chain of Custody certified, contain 10% PCW content and are manufactured with Green-e certified renewable energy.

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA—Consolidation in the paper industry continued in March when Sappi Ltd. announced it had reached an agreement to acquire Potlatch Corp.'s coated fine paper business. The deal, worth $480 million and subject to regulatory approval, includes Potlatch's Cloquet, MN, pulp and paper mill. As part of the transaction, Potlatch will also cease production at its Brainerd, MN, coated paper mill and bear the related costs. The Brainerd mill produces 140,000 short tons per year.
