Fort Worth Zoo Ball Invitation Features Intricate Diecuts (Video)
This week PaperSpecsGallery.com presents the Zoo Ball Invitation that was designed for the 2014 Fort Worth Zoo Ball. The invitation is a glory of intricate, laser diecut shapes on the shimmering surface of Curious Metallics Ice Gold Cover.

A stepped, five-panel card unwinds in an illusion of depth and reflection. One side of the shimmering paper is printed in red, which gives an interesting alternating color effect, thanks to the accordion folding style.
The Indian safari theme is perfectly illustrated with the graceful architectural shapes of rounded filigree and pointed arches. Asian elephants, trunks raised in greeting, march regally across the panels.
Gold foil is the sole adornment on the last panel of the invitation. Reversing the type out of that foil lends an unexpected raised texture to this distinctive design.
