At drupa 2016, the first joint appearance by Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) and Masterwork Machinery Co. (Masterwork) will take place in Hall 1, showcasing and marking the launch of further new products from the successful partnership. "We are now bringing further new products to drupa 2016 that will support packaging and commercial printers to stand out from their competitors," states Harald Weimer, member of the management board responsible for sales and service at Heidelberg.

At drupa 2016, Masterwork USA will debut its automatic sheet inspection machines, diecutting and embossing, and folder/gluers.

Heidelberg’s Packaging Days was held at the company’s Wiesloch-Walldorf location last month, where more than 150 visitors attended.

The Promatrix 106 CS diecutter drew much attention at GRAPH EXPO 15, as did the announcement of Heidelberg’s Easymatrix 106 CS.

The Diana Smart, based on the Diana X model range, is an ergonomic folding carton gluer with new features to expand versatility.

At GRAPH EXPO 15 in Chicago, Heidelberg’s Promatrix 106 CS diecutter will make its official U.S. debut.

At GRAPH EXPO 14, being held September 28-October 1, 2014, in Chicago’s McCormick Place, Masterwork USA will display its MK21060SER Duopress automatic platen foil stamping and diecutting machine with stripping at Booth 3802.

In-house production at the Heidelberg sites in Germany are no longer competitive under the new market conditions. The relevant operations are therefore being discontinued, except for production of folding machines at the Ludwigsburg site. The reduction of in-house capacities will result in the closure of the Leipzig site and a corresponding reduction in the workforce at the Ludwigsburg and Wiesloch-Walldorf sites. A total of around 650 employees worldwide will be affected.
