Pageflex, a division of Bitstream Inc. and a leading developer of enterprise variable publishing and web-to-print solutions, announced the successful conclusion of the 2011 Pageflex User Conference, held last week at the Seaport Conference Center in Boston.
Wide- and grand-format printers really stood out around the show floor, with the size of some devices giving them the impression of being the new “heavy iron” in the industry. Even the new crop of inkjet presses for high-volume page production was overshadowed a bit by their wider brethren, as fewer vendors elected to bring machines to Chicago.

platform and customer base, and after management changes, the
organization has addressed performance issues with the iWay
product, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting customers, and
defined its vision for the future.
With contracts received to date, the Solutions Showcase exhibit
hall is already 13 percent larger than last year. The show floor
will be segmented by solutions related to commercial print, direct
marketing, label and packaging, photo, publishing and grand-format
PDF/VT enables reliable document exchange for variable data and transactional printing. It uses the Portable Document Format (PDF) based on the existing ISO PDF/X-4 and PDF/X-5 standards and will simplify VDP printing in a range of environments, from desktop printers to digital production presses.

Would it make your clients' lives easier to be able to order print projects on a self-service basis (that's ultimately what most consumer-based, e-commerce stores offer)?
