Heidelberg hosted an open house at Print Media Center Atlanta (PMC-ATL) to show customers how its full range of integrated offerings for short-run production can optimize productivity and boost their bottom line. “These types of events help demonstrate the effect of technology on a customer’s business costs,” says Andy Rae, senior VP of equipment and marketing.

Graphco Opens the Doors to Its New Technology Center in Cleveland

Graphco held an Open House for its new WD Manley Technology Center in Cleveland, from Aug. 30-31. The Open House featured a variety of technology, including the new eight-up RMGT Series 9 sheetfed offset printing press. Throughout the day, live demonstrations were run on the various technology stationed in the technology center and presentations from industry experts were given, exploring the future of the new print industry, sustainability of print, and color management.

Hammer Packaging Extends Strategic Investment Plan with Speedmaster XL 106

Hammer Packaging of West Henrietta, N.Y., has added a Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106-8+L to increase capacity and improve productivity. The new peak performance press replaced an older competitive press, and will run alongside two existing Speedmaster CD 102 presses and a CX 102. In just over three months of production, the press counter is already showing 19 million impressions, and the company intends to further increase throughput by running shifts 24/7.

Successful drupa, Coupled With Brisk Order Figures, Tops Strong Q2 for KBA

KBA saw a successful drupa this year with high order intake of €352.5m in the second quarter of 2016. Its half-year revenue of €553.9m is 30% above prior year. The company's order backlog of €639.8m secures workload beyond 2016. In addition, KBA’s Sheetfed segment has an outstanding footing in packaging printing and is on track to reach its revenue and earnings targets for 2016.
