xpedx Joins SGP Partnership as Gold Patron

LOVELAND, OH—May 13, 2010—The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership welcomes the addition of xpedx to the SGP Patron program as a Gold Patron. Through the generous support of companies like xpedx, the SGP Partnership is able to keep program participation fees for printers low. xpedx joins a growing number of companies that demonstrate their commitment to sustainability by becoming an SGP Patron.

“xpedx customers continue to look for ways to become more sustainable in their day-to-day operations, and the SGP Partnership helps them achieve this goal,” said David Wallace, xpedx director of Sustainability. “The SGP Partnership is a good fit for xpedx. It’s aligned with our own sustainability efforts, and helps our customers demonstrate leadership on environmental issues.”

“We are very pleased that xpedx now supports SGP as a Gold Patron,” states Stephen Whittaker, vice president of Quality Management and Sustainability Initiatives for Monroe Litho. “As an SGP-certified printer and xpedx customer, it’s important for us to partner with like-minded companies that are on a similar sustainability journey to ours.” Based in Rochester, NY, Monroe Litho is the fifth commercial printer in the United States to be certified under SGP Partnership’s standard.

xpedx is one of the largest business-to-business distribution companies in North America, distributing a wide variety of printing paper, graphics, packaging, and facility supplies and equipment from manufacturers worldwide.
