October 2008
MOBILE, AL--October 13, 2008--Xanté is fast becoming the hero of small and midsize prepress and print shops needing competitive, state-of-the-art technology at practical price points. Visitors to Graph Expo booth 3429 in Chicago from October 26-29 will see the newest products and the continued expansion of Xanté as a leading single source provider of a complete line of products -- including platesetters, digital color presses, all-in-one PDF workflows, plate processors, plates and chemistry -- for all printing demands.
New Addition: Ilumina Digital Color Press with Direct to Lens Printing
Small to mid-sized print shops can now enter the lucrative special effects print market with the Xanté Ilumina 3D Digital Color Press, which can print directly on lenticular media. The Ilumina 3D is perfectly suited for lenticular printing and can also serve as a cost-effective lenticular proofing device for higher-end and wide format applications. The Ilumina 3D is driven by a Xanté plug-in to Adobe® Photoshop® developed by lenticular software supplier ProMagic®.
New Versions of Award-Winning OpenRIP PDF Workflow Software
At Graph Expo Xanté will show its new versions of OpenRIP® Symphony and OpenRIP® Flexo Professional, which substantially strengthen the abilities of small and mid-size traditional, digital and flexographic printers to compete for higher end business with minimal investment. The new versions offer integrated PANTONE® color library support for the color database; high-end enhanced StripRITE Imposition that allows the mixing of page sizes and orientations on a press sheet; Freeform Ganging that provides fast, flexible output, saving time and media; linearization and dot gain enhancements; halftone processing features, and more.
Xanté CEO, Robert Ross, says, "Our OpenRIP PDF workflow features the Adobe® PDF Print Engine (APPE) and PostScript® 3(TM) technologies. This robust core combined with Xanté engineering gives our customers unparalleled scalability, flexibility and high end workflow automation for the least money."
Affordable Ilumina 502 Delivers Short-Run Color Printing on Oversized, Ultra Thick Cover
The Ilumina 502 easily handles a wide range of paper weights, from text to ultra thick cover, 75 to 502 gsm, at an affordable price. Print shops can now make money producing short run four-color jobs on a wide range of substrates that have been previously unavailable for digital printing. The Ilumina 502 digital press is capable of printing fiber-enhanced papers such as textured canvas, sleek metallic, cast coated, and magnetic stocks.
New Xanté Magnetic Digital Media
Attendees at Graph Expo will see new Xanté Myriad(TM) Magnetic digital media; a flexible, rubber magnet digital media that is specifically designed for short-run, full color printing on the Ilumina. Myriad Magnetic media is perfectly suited for outdoor applications such as magnetic signs on autos and promotional signs.
