Wausau Shuttering NH Mill; 300 Jobs to Go

MOSINEE, WI—On the heels of its Printing & Writing Products division suffering a third quarter operating loss of $1.3 million, Wausau Paper announced it will permanently close its Groveton, NH, mill at year’s end. The move will result in the loss of 300 jobs.
The closure will reduce Wausau’s production capacity by 28 percent. It will incur pre-tax closure charges of $72 million.
