Von Hoffmann Selects EFI Prograph Software to Manage Book Printing Business

FOSTER CITY, CA—Dec. 5, 2006—EFI (Nasdaq: EFII), the world leader in color digital print servers, superwide format printers and inks, and print management solutions, today announced that Von Hoffmann, a Visant company, has selected and implemented EFI Prograph® as the job management system for their book manufacturing facilities. Based in St. Louis, Von Hoffmann has been in business for more than 100 years and is a leading national printer of educational textbooks and supplemental materials, producing extensive work for virtually all of the major publishers in the education field.
EFI Prograph offers powerful, comprehensive planning capabilities – including versioning, complex imposition, bindery planning and distribution tools – that allow magazine, catalog and book printers to make more informed business decisions, and streamline their production process. Von Hoffmann is the first book printer to utilize the system, and EFI built a special “parts inventory” module for Prograph to accommodate their needs in tracking supplied materials and work in progress. This module will be available to other Prograph clients in the future.
