Union Recognizes Kohler Print Group’s Digital Printing Services

April 2008
ST. LOUIS, MO—April 7, 2008—Kohler Print Group, the St. Louis-based print marketing company, announced today that the Graphic Communications Conference of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (GCC/IBT) has recognized Kohler’s digital printing division, complementing the union-recognized conventional print services that Kohler has offered for decades.

The designation assures political consultants that all campaign materials produced by Kohler are made by union members. The union’s recognition also gives local, state and federal election campaign managers confidence in an experienced provider of fast, efficient and high-quality campaign collateral. Kohler provides a single source for comprehensive campaign marketing services, including direct mail, postcard printing, brochure printing, poster printing and bumper stickers, among other marketing materials.

“We have proudly displayed the Union Label on our conventional offset printing work since 1927. We are very pleased that the GCC/IBT has recognized our digital print division in time for the 2008 election season,” said Kevin Kohler, president and CEO of Kohler Print Group. “Political campaigns are dynamic, fast-moving enterprises, and campaign managers need a reliable partner that can deliver high volumes of a wide range of material on tight deadlines and with unquestionable quality. We are uniquely positioned to serve that need.”

Kohler has an 85-year history offering quality print marketing services in the Midwest and across the country. Kohler has honed its high-volume printing capabilities through decades of serving a national client base of major brand names.

In addition to conventional and digital printing, Kohler combines sophisticated variable data technology and direct marketing services through its KPEX division. KPEX specializes in customized response marketing that speaks to the personal preferences of target audiences. For 2008 election campaigns, KPEX offers the ability to target direct mail based on data gathered through call centers, Websites and door-to-door canvassing.

Kohler Print Group and KPEX follow environmentally friendly business practices that adhere to guidelines set by the Forest Stewardship Council, the global standards body. Kohler, which is certified by Smartwood as an FSC Chain-Of-Custody printer, uses sustainable paper resources and environmentally safe materials.
