Two Printers Discuss Data Security, High-Speed Inkjet Printing (Free Webinar Now Available On-Demand)
PHILADELPHIA—February 27, 2014—The "Critical Communication with Your Clients: High-speed digital printing, maximizing the communication channel and delivering total value" Webinar presented this week by Printing Impressions magazine, and sponsored by Ricoh, offered practical advice from two industry executives who shared how their firms ensure data integrity and protect their content-critical customer information.
Joining Printing Impressions Editor-in-Chief Mark Michelson, were industry veterans Mitch Anderson, vice president of sales at Pinnacle Data Systems; and Jim Renella, vice president and general manager of Diamond Marketing Solutions, who discussed the keys to a successful, high-speed digital production printing operation. The panelists also revealed what is required to build a total solutions offering—including print and electronic delivery, data analytics and reporting services, customer portals, mailing and fulfillment, and developing key process controls.
The trend Pinnacle Data Systems is seeing, according to Anderson, is that the younger generation is adopting electronic documents. He also noted that geography is also playing a role where recipients on the West Coast have a much better adoption rate for electronic services than recipients on the East Coast. "As e-adoption increases, the printed documents you send out have to be more targeted and more personalized and that requires a lot of investment in both printing equipment and data processing equipment."
In an effort to manage and track its customers' jobs, Diamond Marketing Solutions has created a Web portal called DiamondView, that provides an online ordering and inventory management system, giving clients full access to the materials the company stores and distributes. Since Diamond Marketing Solutions receives data in many different shapes and forms, Renella said that the company's workflow was built to accomodate this. "We have been able to create a workflow based on the variety of files we receive and to make it work to our color device as well."
The more than 300 Webinar registrants reported positive feedback. Here are just a few of the comments:
