Trekk to Support Dscoop7 Conference as an Official Sponsor, Group Goes Global
ROCKFORD, IL/CHICAGO—Nov. 9, 2011—Trekk will be a Gold Sponsor of the 2012 Dscoop7 conference to be held March 22-24, 2012, at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center in Washington, DC. The theme for this year’s event is “Campaign for Next.”
“Our long-term relationship with HP makes us a natural fit for sponsorship of this important conference,” said Robin Tobin, principal and executive vp business development & relationship management at Trekk. “This year’s conference will focus heavily on helping Dscoop members build relationships with brand managers. As a sponsor, we’ll have the opportunity to share our cross-media expertise as well as our marketer perspectives with Dscoop members.”
In other news, Dscoop (Digital Solutions Cooperative), an independent global community of HP Graphic Arts customers, has recently expanded into the Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Latin America regions, prompting the formation of a global Board of Directors. This board will bring together leaders from each region to oversee the actions and events that affect the 6,000 Dscoop members worldwide.
Eric Hawkinson remains the executive director overseeing the global leadership team. The rest of the board is comprised of:
- Chairman – Chris Petro, Global Soft Digital Solutions (U.S.)
- Alon Bar-Shany, HP
- Craig Curran, Nosco (U.S.)
- Erwin Koerts, Drukkerij Aeroprint (The Netherlands)
- David Minnett, Group Momentum (Australia)
- Yukinori Okamoto, FIS (Japan)
- Gary Peeling, Precision Printing (U.K.)
- Jan Riecher, HP
- Larry Vaughn, Ideal Printers (U.S.)
“As Dscoop becomes a global organization, we saw it was imperative to gather leaders from all of our regional committees so high-level decisions could be aligned and implemented throughout the organization,” Hawkinson said. “In addition, they will drive the education strategy from a global perspective, which each region will be able to tailor for its own needs. This will benefit all of our members, not just on a regional basis.”
Dscoop offers its members education and networking opportunities, including on-demand webinars, online forums, newsletters, annual conferences, online print directory and more.
“We have assembled a world-class team of leaders to guide our future and craft the best user group organization in the graphic arts industry and in the world,” Petro said. “As an organization, we are working hard to expand our value to include new ways to network relationships and share worldwide success stories.”
