The Garvey Group Poised to Add More Multicolor Long-Run Capacit
"Switching from the Didde web press to the new KBA Rapida 105 press is like jumping from a Kia to a Lexus," says Arnone. "We view this new press as a destination machine that sets us apart from our competition. Our goal is to be more productive and satisfy our existing customer base as well attract new clients."
For the past several years, the Garvey Group has been investing in new equipment at many of its locations, including Sturtevant. The new KBA Rapida 105 ten-color perfecting press joins a KBA Rapida 105 41-inch four-color perfector sheetfed press that was installed in September 2004 at Sturtevant. With the installation of the KBA Rapida 105 four-color perfector press, the Sturtevant location replaced three older presses: a two-color 40-inch, a two-color perfector, and a six-color 25-inch sheetfed press. The KBA Rapida 105 four-color perfector press gave Garvey the flexibility of producing two-over-two jobs or straight four-color work and the ability to perfect on coated stock, something the firm could not do before. In addition, the Garvey Group installed a KBA Rapida 162 64-inch six-color sheetfed press with UV and hybrid ink capabilities in March 2004 at its Nile, IL. facility.
"KBA has proven to us that they are serious about our business. The ongoing support our production team receives from KBA since the installation of the 105 four-color perfector last year really was an important consideration for choosing them again." Arnone said.
Personalized consultative service
"We pride ourselves on providing personalized consultative service to all of our customers," says Arnone. "We don't print one job and then move on to the next. Our goal is to be an advocate for our corporate clients and look at their entire business and find the most efficient means to not only print their product but manage the supply chain as well. Our corporate clientele can be mainly found in the Midwest states."
