ECRM promoted Doug Barr to vice president of sales, Western Hemisphere. A 30-year veteran of the graphic arts industry, Barr is now responsible for managing and coordinating all sales and dealer channel activities throughout North and South America. Prior to this appointment, Barr was director of sales, Latin America and Caribbean region.

Sakurai USA has named David Rose national sales manger to represent the Sakurai screen press product line in the U.S. and Canada. Also, Johnny Horton has joined the Sakurai Service Support Group.

Stora Enso recently promoted Chris Hooper and Jim Sheibley to vice president of product management and strategy development positions.

Printable Technologies and Pace Systems Group announced at Graph Expo the integration of the ePace print management system with Printable’s PrintOne Web-to-print solution.

Global Sourcing Solutions and ITI Capital have formed a partnership to create China Paper Holdings. The new company, based in Beijing with an office in New York City, will specialize in exporting paper to the United States and elsewhere. This includes book, publication, commercial printing, catalog, FSI grades, cut sheet and specialty grade papers from several independent Asian paper mills.

Ron Sams has been appointed vice president of newspaper sales for MAN Roland. He takes over the role from Vince Lapinski, who became CEO.

Sun Chemical announced that Greg Lawson will lead its publication and commercial ink businesses in North America, in addition to his role as president of US Ink, Sun Chemical’s news ink division. Lawson succeeds Michael Griem, who returns to the company’s European inks business unit.

xpedx has appointed Fred Towler to the position of vice president, procurement. He is now based at the company’s headquarters in Loveland, OH. Towler previously spent 20 years with International Paper.
