Lastra America has merged its Western Lithotech and Lastra America operations into a single business unit, Lastra America, headquartered in Danbury, CT.

PagePath Technologies has, for a second time, received the Product of the Year award from the PrintImage International association, formerly the National Association of Quick Printers (NAQP). During the association’s annual conference, PagePath was presented the award for its PDF2U Web-based orderflow system.

The NPTA Alliance (formerly the National Paper Trade Association) has named Thomas O’Connor Sr., chairman of Mohawk Paper Mills, as the winner of its annual Industry Excellence Award for 2003. The award will be presented at the association’s 100th anniversary convention taking place in Chicago on October 24-27, 2003.

Printcafe Software has promoted Michael Schneider to national sales manager for the label and packaging market. For the last three years, Schneider has been the Southwest district sales manager for the commercial division of Printcafe. Ian Pulrang has been promoted to district sales manager for the South Central United States.

Homi Shamir has been appointed to the position of president and CEO of Scitex Corp., replacing Yeoshua Agassi. Shamir, current president and CEO of Scitex Digital Printing, will continue to serve in this capacity.
