New Leadership At Roosevelt Paper

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ—David Kosloff has become president of Roosevelt Paper, representing the third generation of family ownership. He takes over for his father, Ted Kosloff, who has served as president since 1976. Roosevelt Paper was founded in 1932 by Irv Kosloff.

Gämmerler Corp. has realigned its manufacturing plants. Located in Geretsried-Gelting, Germany, Leisnig, Germany, and Hanover Park, IL, each will specialize in the production of a specific set of products. Compensating stacker production, which currently takes place at all three plants, will transfer to Leisnig. The facility in Geretsried-Gelting will focus its operations on the production of robotic palletizers, vertical log stackers, overhead conveying systems and rotary trimmers. The plant in Hanover Park will produce several products, including flat conveying systems, horizontal log stackers and the company's newly announced PowerLift palletizing system.

The ColorQuick closed-loop control system from Graphics Microsystems has been considered qualified and can be sold on Heidelberg Web Systems (HWS) contracts without the requirement of a performance waiver. The GMI ColorQuick is said to be the first closed-loop color control system receiving this official HWS qualification.

Spinks Ink has hired Roger Harris as its new Southeast sales representative. His territory includes all Spinks dealers in the southeastern U.S. and Texas. He is a former employee of Printers Ink & Supply in Birmingham, AL.

2002 marks a milestone for Howard Graphic Equipment, as the company celebrates its 35th anniversary. Since its inception in 1967, the company has continuously evolved into one of the world's largest suppliers of used printing and related equipment.

LDR International announced Robin Michalisko is the company's new sales manager, responsible for direct hardware and software sales in the Western U.S. and channel support nationwide. Before coming to LDR, he worked for IKON North America as business development manager of Digital Express.

Litho plate supplier Lastra America has acquired Western Lithotech, a supplier of litho plates, associated chemicals and prepress platemaking equipment.

Presstek Inc. has installed a Ryobi 3404DI direct imaging press at its demonstration center in Hudson, NH, and has recently completed a comprehensive DI training session for Ryobi dealers. Sales demonstrations are ongoing and plans are under way for several open houses, which will feature the Ryobi 3404DI. Also, the company has appointed Edward J. Marino president and CEO, succeeding Robert W. Hallman. Marino is the former president and CEO of Lightning Source.

Kodak Polychrome Graphics recently appointed Pat Duckworth as dealer relations manager, Eastern zone, and Mike Huff as dealer relations manager, Western zone. Both are long-time KPG employees.
