Subers Named Print Group Publisher at NAPCO
PHILADELPHIA—North American Publishing Co. (NAPCO) has named Mark J. Subers its senior vice president/group publisher, Printing Industry Group. He now oversees three venerable NAPCO titles, including Printing Impressions, Package Printing and In-plant Graphics magazines. Aside from the monthly printed publications, the brands also include individual Websites, various e-newsletters, pre-show and on-site trade show directories, custom publishing projects, virtual trade shows and Webinars targeted toward their respective audiences.
Subers reports to former group publisher Dave Leskusky, who has been elevated to group president, Printing Industry Group, as well as to group president of NAPCO's Promotional Products and Target Marketing groups. Brian Ludwick, publisher of Package Printing, and Glen Reynolds, publisher of In-plant Graphics, will maintain their current titles and responsibilities.
Previously, Subers spent 17 years as president of Grade Finders, which published print and online paper buying guides for the paper and printing industry markets in North America and Europe. He's also served as a senior sales executive for Really Strategies and vice president of business development for Silverchair. These organizations offered content management and online publishing solutions to multiple publishing verticals with an emphasis on the Scientific, Technical and Medical (STM) market.
“I’m very excited to join NAPCO and reengage with the paper and print industry,” Subers said. “NAPCO has an excellent portfolio and very talented staff. I look forward to applying the knowledge I’ve gained from my past five years in the STM and other publishing verticals to the paper and printing industry. This amalgamation of skills will provide a fresh perspective for driving innovation to our current print and online products, as well as new product development.
"The printing industry has a vibrant future with new technologies continually emerging to support the marketing and communication of ideas in the print form factor. Printing will remain a significant factor of our multi-channel environment and our Printing Group will continue to be at the forefront of educating the market on best practices and the latest technology.”
