Standard Register Unveils Renewal Plan
As part of the company’s goal of performance improvement, Standard Register is tapping the Six Sigma business process, which allows companies to improve the bottom line by designing and monitoring everyday business activities in ways that minimize waste and resources, while increasing customer satisfaction.
In terms of growth initiatives, Standard Register notes that two-thirds of its revenue comes from declining market segments. The target of its growth initiatives is to shift that ratio so that, by 2004, more than two-thirds of Standard Register’s revenues will come from growth markets.
The business units have identified distribution labels, document consulting, fulfillment services and e-procurement as specific growth initiatives.
