Spartanics M510 Compact Card Punching System Unveiled

May 2008
DRUPA—May 29, 2008— Spartanics M510 Compact Card Punching System is now available worldwide. The Spartanics M510 is a very low-cost plastic card punching system specifically designed for the requirements of printers, card manufacturers, and others producing small volumes (e.g. 5,000 –86,000/day) of hotel keys, loyalty cards, phone cards, gift cards, membership cards, and other plastic cards in standard CR80 formats.

Paul Dirienzo, Spartanics Director of Engineering, says, “This inexpensive plastic card punching system is geared to allow newcomers to take advantage of the highly profitable card manufacturing niches for an initial investment in the 10’s of 1000’s dollars range instead of the hundreds of thousands of dollars required for more sophisticated high volume card punching systems.”

The Spartanics M510 Compact Plastic Card Punching System incorporates the renowned Spartanics electro-optical registration technology. The system provides maximum outputs of 9,000 cards/hour produced at rate of 50 strokes/minute. The M510 is a small footprint system the size of a photocopier. It is a manually loaded, with robust easy-to-operate feeds. Optional low-cost standard 3-Up CR80 dies (requiring sharpening every million strokes) or long-life higher priced standard 3-Up CR80 dies (requiring sharpening every 3+ million strokes) are available. Installation, setup and training are also available at modest additional cost.
