July 2006
ST. PAUL, MN—Package label specialist Smyth Co. will close its Midway area printing plant on September 15, leaving 75 workers without jobs, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. The paper also reported that Smyth could relocate its headquarters, as well.
Work from the soon-to-be-shuttered plant will be distributed among Smyth’s six other printing facilities, the paper said. Nine employees from the doomed plant will be transferred to other Smyth branches.
