Shawmut Completes Acquisition of HK Graphics
DANVERS, MA—January 6, 2014—Shawmut has completed the acquisition of HK Graphics, a leader in the print industry for the last 37 years. Over those years their focus has been in high-end color retouching and scanning. Today it has transitioned its company into a wide-format, digital printing company that focuses on color and image integrity regardless of the substrate being used.
"The addition of HK Graphics creates a huge growth opportunity for Shawmut," said Michael Peluso, vice president of Shawmut. "Satisfying the needs of our clients is our number one priority and this acquisition allows us to do just that by expanding into the ever popular wide-format arena. We are very much looking forward to this partnership, joining two family owned and operated businesses with the same core values to better serve both sets of clients."
HK Graphics has served large advertising agencies, corporations, design firms and industrial-market needs for over 37 years. As a go-to source for color retouching and custom signage, HK Graphics offers an extensive assortment of materials and mounting options specialized for both rigid and flexible applications.
"Joining forces with Shawmut is very exciting," said Chris Keshishian, COO of HK Graphics. "I expect the transition will be seamless as both companies share equal ideals and conduct business in the same way. We strongly believe that the combined product and service offering will greatly benefit clients from each company."
This acquisition not only diversifies each company's product offering, it requires Shawmut to expand its facility by nearly 10,000 square feet adjacent to its existing 35,000-square-foot corporate headquarters located in the Cherry Hill Business Park in Danvers.
