Scott Cappel, Brian O’Day to be Honored by NAPL/NAQP
PARAMUS, NJ—Sept. 21, 2010—NAPL/NAQP will honor Scott Cappel, president of Sorrento Mesa Printing, San Diego, CA, as Printer of the Year, and will recognize Brian O’Day, president of EPrint, Tigard, OR, as Honorary Lifetime Member during the Association Awards Luncheon at the 2010 Owners Conference, September 30 – October 2, at the InterContinental Hotel in Chicago. The Awards Luncheon, sponsored by Kodak, will be held on October 1 at 12:30 p.m.
“During this time of considerable challenge for our industry’s executives, these outstanding executives have earned this important recognition for their leadership,” said NAPL President and CEO Joseph P. Truncale. “Nominated by their peers and selected by a committee of their fellow association members, they are clearly very deserving of these high industry honors.”
“We are pleased to be honoring Scott and Brian with these two prestigious awards,” said Dennis Trump, President of Trump Direct, Decatur, IL, who served as Awards Committee Chairman, who noted that “the field of nominees for the 2010 awards represented the highest levels of business management excellence” in the quick and small commercial printing segment of the industry.
The annual Owners Conference is the only industry event tailored exclusively for small commercial and quick printing companies. This year it will offer information on developing practical applications for a variety of strategic initiatives, including customer analysis for greater profitability, pricing integrated services, marketing with social media, and communicating green practices to clients and prospects.
Owners or general managers of quick, small commercial or digital printing companies with 25 or fewer employees will receive real-world insights and information at the conference, where they will also be able to network with their peers about the specific concerns of companies in this vital industry sector. This year’s event is being held immediately prior to the industry-wide programs and exhibits of GRAPH EXPO 2010, October 3-6, at McCormick Place South in Chicago.
