CLIFTON, NJ—January 28, 2009—eSA Solutions, the digital technology subsidiary of Sandy Alexander Inc., has installed two advanced seven-color HP Indigo 7000 presses in a new high-tech facility in Clifton, NJ.
Mike Graff, Sandy Alexander’s President, made the announcement today. “We have seen record growth in our digital business, despite the difficult business environment, and we are responding to our clients’ demands for new end-to-end products and services by making a significant investment to expand our offerings and strengthen our capabilities.”
Cheryl Kahanec, Executive Vice President of Digital Solutions added: “The 7000 press provides greater throughput, production power and efficiencies as well as offset print quality. Combined with our variable-data capabilities, we will be able to drive high-volume personalized direct-mail campaigns that give eSA Solutions’ clients a greater return on investment in terms of cost per response.”
The HP Indigo 7000 Digital Presses are highly productive machines, capable of delivering 120 four-color 8-1/2 x 11 pages per minute. In addition, with the in-house Indigo Ink Mixing System, eSA Solutions operators will be able to mix spot and corporate colors using state-of-the-art color measurement technology to ensure accurate matching.
Formerly located in Fairfield, NJ, eSA Solutions is moving into a new home at corporate headquarters in Clifton, NJ. This will enable the company to reduce the carbon footprint of its digital operation by taking advantage of synergies in administration, prepress, bindery, transportation and fulfillment. A recognized leader in sustainable printing, the company was careful to minimize the environmental impact of the construction: the lighting is low energy, the flooring is made from recycled and renewable soy-based materials; the paint used was low-VOC. Construction waste was recycled.
