Quebecor World Heads New Facility Openings

MONTREAL—Quebecor World ushered in the opening of its new co-mailing facility in Somerset, NJ, with the addition of two new 30-pocket machines. The new capacity allows more publishers and catalogers to take advantage of the benefits of co-mailing. The Somerset mail consolidation location was selected for its strategic proximity to the densely populated Northeast.

St. Joseph Print plans to open a new 140,000-square-foot printing plant in Concord, Ontario. St. Joseph will relocate two suburban Toronto facilities into the new plant as it adds $25 million in new printing technology. The new building will be situated next to the printer's existing 300,000-square-foot operation. St. Joseph specializes in magazines, catalogs and flyers.

Sun Printing has opened a $6 million printing plant in Columbia, SC, which is expected to add up to 50 jobs by the end of 2009, according to The State. The Orangeburg, SC-based company employs 150 at six locations in the United States and Mexico, the paper reported.
