Quad/Graphics Launches Branded iPad Apps
Quad/Graphics Digital Edition converts the final PDF files used to make printing plates or cylinders for magazines, catalogs, retail ads and direct mail pieces into a compelling, dynamic and interactive digital format with an easy-to-use toolbar. Digital Editions are not just PDFs; the solution offers the ability to include audio, video, Flash media and links to web sites. Features include infinite zoom, search and archive functions, bookmarking and reader page notes and one-click page printing. Web hosting of the Digital Editions is included. Accuracy is a key benefit because the same file used to create the printing plates for the print version is used for the electronic versions. This provides a workflow benefit, too, since only one file is needed.
Quad/Graphics Digital Edition offers two levels of functionality: Quad/Graphics Digital Edition Pro and Quad/Graphics Digital Edition Express. Quad/Graphics Digital Edition Pro provides user tracking reporting and the capability to include audio, video, Flash media and links to Web sites. Quad/Graphics Digital Edition Express provides base-level functionality, including the same high quality, user interface and workflow benefits as the Pro version.
