Globe Litho Installs Press, Commits To ‘Green’ Success
RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ—Globe Lithographing recently installed a new six-color Speedmaster CD 102 with in-line coater, which joins two existing six-color Speedmaster SM 102 presses with aqueous coating and a six-color Speedmaster SM 102 perfector.
The company, which was awarded Chain-of-Custody certification by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) last fall, is also making news for recently signing a contract with Community Energy of Wayne, PA, to purchase 100 percent of its electricity from wind-powered energy.
Original Impressions Impresses Fast Food Royalty at Burger King
MIAMI—Burger King Corp. (BKC), and its purchasing cooperative/supply chain manager Restaurant Services Inc. (RSI), awarded its 2007 Supplier of the Year Award to Original Impressions (OI), a full-service marketing communications company that has been providing graphic design and print services to Burger King since 1982. Today, the firm also provides marketing, merchandising and direct mail services to the mega fast food franchise.

WATERFORD—In anticipation of its 100th anniversary next year, the marketing communications firm of Joseph Merritt & Co. has moved its New London operation, Merritt Graphics, into a state-of-the-art facility here. The entrance/lobby has been transformed into an industry store, where more than 150 graphic images—including outdoor scenes, vehicle graphics, cartoon characters, trade show booths and motion graphics displays—depict the many ways customers can market their products.
